Why Mental Wellness Is Not a Luxury for Filipinos
Growing up, many of us learned that talking about feelings is being "maarte." That mental health is for people with time and money. That the right response to emotional pain is to pray harder, work harder, move on.
This is not strength. This is survival. And survival is exhausting.
The Stigma Is Changing
The 2018 Mental Health Act changed something real. It said, officially, that mental wellness matters. That emotional health is health. The next generation of Filipinos is growing up with language for what they feel, and permission to feel it.
What Self-Care Actually Looks Like
It doesn't have to be expensive. It can be five minutes of journaling before bed. A breathing exercise during your commute. An app that asks how you're really doing and means it.
You Deserve Support Without Shame
HealPath was built for this exact reason: to give every Filipino access to emotional support that understands where you're coming from. Private. Available at 2am when you can't sleep and don't know why.
Your wellness is not a luxury. It is the foundation for everything else.
